Videotron begins rebranding campaign
By Adnews Staff
Montreal-based cable company Videotron broke a new ad campaign yesterday promoting the firm as a provider of all consumer needs for telecommunications and entertainment services. The three television commercials feature a Videotron technician as a spokesperson who explains the company’s various services. The ads also emphasize Videotron’s focus on customer service. The first commercial deals with telecommunications service packages and the benefits of service bundling. “Our new advertising concept shows us as the industry leader and projects a friendly, modern brand image,” said Manon Brouillette, vice-president of marketing and product development in the consumer division of Videotron. “The friendly technician will become the leitmotif of our communications initiatives to promote our service offerings. The technician's approachable attitude accentuates Videotron's customer service philosophy of a human face in an age where everything is computerized.” According to the company, this campaign will form an umbrella for all Videotron publicity as part of a strategy to rebrand the company. The campaign was produced by Bos of Montreal. Videotron is a subsidiary of Quebecor Media.
