McCain holds skateboard draw to promote Pizza Pockets

McCain Foods Canada of Florenceville, NB has begun an online contest called “90 Boards in 90 Days” to promote its Pizza Pocket brand. Consumers can enter the draw at <http://www.pizzapockets.ca>. Each day for 90 days, one winner will receive a Birdhouse skateboard. The contest, which will run until May 30, is being promoted with packaging and in-store materials. “Our target demographic is 12- to 18-year-old males,” said Norm Purdy, retail food group product manager at McCain. “We’re leveraging the sport of skateboarding to create an appealing and relevant brand experience to help drive product sales.” The strategy for the promotion came from C2 Communications of Moncton. Razor Creative of Moncton developed the concept and produced the creative. IC Group of Toronto handled online development along with prize fulfillment and sweepstakes management.
