Cadbury Adams releases new commercial for Halls Oxygen

Toronto-based JWT Canada has developed a new television commercial for Cadbury Adams to promote its Halls Oxygen product line. In the 30-second ad, called "Dead Man Talking," a young woman and a doctor enter a morgue. The woman identifies the old man under a sheet as her husband. An attendant accidentally drops a Halls Oxygen lozenge into the corpse's mouth. The dead man says, "Is my gold-digging wife here? That woman made me a millionaire. Of course I started out as a billionaire. She's been on more laps than her pet Chihuahua. On the bright side she did pre-chew my food for me." The ad ends with a voiceover saying, "Bring your mouth back to life with new Halls Oxygen." The ad will air nationally in English and French until May 14. French adaptation was handled by Enterprise-JWT of Montreal. "This is a different kind of Halls, it's an everyday Halls, so it was important to reflect that in the spot," said Lili Shalev, managing director of JWT. "Oxygen is geared towards a younger demographic, which is why we wanted to incorporate an edgy element, along with some humour."
