ERICSSON SWITCHES WORLDWIDE AGENCY
By Adnews Staff
Ericsson Mobile Communications of Stockholm has consolidated its $40 million(US) worldwide mobile phone account with Young & Rubicam of New York. The move doesn't affect North America. Advance Planning & Communications of Toronto will continue to handle Canadian advertising. In the U.S., the Ericsson account will remain with Y&R's Creswell, Munsell, Fultz and Zirbel of Cedar Raids, Iowa. Bates Worldwide was the incumbent outside North America. Ericsson is shifting its advertising focus from business to consumers. Ericsson's technologies and services include cellular telephones, cellular personal communications systems, mobile data networks, private radio systems, intelligent network products and in-building and wide-area paging systems.
