CHATELAINE CAMPAIGN
By Adnews Staff
Maclean Hunter Publishing of Toronto launched an ad campaign earlier this month for one of its most consistent money makers, Chatelaine magazine. Using the tag line "Chatelaine. Where Canadian women get it all, together," the campaign uses print, radio, outdoor, TV and in-store materials. The outdoor ads focus on Chatelaine articles, and are running in Toronto and Vancouver. The national TV ad is a direct response commercial to promote subscriptions. The campaign is slated to run for at least three months. It was created by The Ongoing Partnership of Toronto.
Also, Maclean Hunter is distributing the second annual Chatelaine Gardens! magazine in March. One hundred thousand magazines will go to Chatelaine subscribers and newsstands. Sales of the 1995 edition exceeded projections by 12.5%. In conjunction with the magazine's release the Chatelaine Gardens! Show will debut on the Home Plus cable channel. It will feature articles from the magazine and will run for a 24-week period, rotating 12 to 24 spots each week.
