SHIBINSKY & MCAULIFFE TAKE ON A PARTNER
By Adnews Staff
Shibinsky & McAuliffe Advertising in Toronto now has another name on its door. Barry Solway has joined the agency as partner and president to form Shibinsky McAuliffe Solway Advertising. Most recently Solway was marketing vice-president at Smart Talk Network of Markham, Ont., a long distance reseller. The agency was started up a year ago by Stan Shibinsky and John McAuliffe. Both had ran their own consultancies before starting the agency. Shibinsky had also worked at BBDO in Detroit as executive vice-president. This isn't the first time McAuliffe and Solway have run their own shops. Up until five years ago McAuliffe was a partner at Dell McAuliffe Winter of Toronto. Solway was at one time chairman of Solway Varvas Seppi and later ran a shop he owned by himself, Jordan Shane Agency. The client list for Shibinsky McAuliffe Solway includes Sopexa Canada Ltee., Mary Brown's Fried Chicken, The Heart and Stroke Foundation and The Mutual Group. A campaign for Mary Brown's Chicken outlets will begin in the spring.
