ROM ATTENDANCE GROWS
By Adnews Staff
An advertising and public relations campaign for the Royal Ontario Museum's spider exhibit seems to be drawing people into the web. Attendance during the first week of the exhibit was was double what it was for the same week last year. An ad campaign was launched late last month using outdoor, posters, print and post cards in Owl and Chickadee magazines. The facade of the museum has been taken over by the exhibit. Banners and a 40 foot by 38 foot web cling to the front of the building while a three-dimensional male black widow, 300-times life-size, hangs above the doorway. Advertising was created by Roche Macaulay & Partners Advertising of Toronto.
