Y&R GETS NEW CLOROX BRAND
By Adnews Staff
Young & Rubicam of Toronto is being handed the Black Flag account by the Clorox Co. of Canada because the agency's San Francisco office got the U.S. business, Clorox Canadian general manager Tim Moore told Adnews this week. U.S.-based Clorox bought the Black Flag line of insecticides from Reckitt & Colman last month. In the U.S., where Y&R was alrady working for Clorox, there was no incumbent agency on the Black Flag account because it was inactive. Y&R handles all Clorox advertising in Canada. Reckitt & Colman's advertising in Canada is done by Cossette Communication-Marketing of Montreal and Stringer Veroni Ketchum Advertising of Toronto.
