FORD FOCUSES ON BEST-SELLING CARS

U.S.-based Ford Motor Company is advertising the1996 Taurus and Sable in its latest North American campaign which broke earlier this month. It uses TV, print and outdoor created by J. Walter Thompson of Detroit. In Canada, Young & Rubicam Advertising of Toronto localized the ads for the Canadian market. The car maker is focusing on the Taurus and Sable because they have been completely revamped and are the company's best selling cars. Ford is sponsoring 10 TV premieres and will be the only advertiser during a portion of a three-night, six-hour salute to the Beatles in November. In the U.S. Ford is also running campaigns for the 1996 Contour, Mustang and Ranger.
