Ford breaks online campaign for Focus

Ford Motor Company of Canada has begun an online advertising campaign to promote the Ford Focus. The campaign is running on various Microsoft properties, including MSN.ca, MSN Autos, MSN Mobile and Microsoft gaming systems Xbox Live and Kinect. When one of the ads is clicked by a viewer, the ad expands to fill the entire screen and offer a digital tour of the vehicle, including video, multiple photographs and a rotating view. Viewers are then directed to the Ford.ca website or to the Focus Facebook page for more information. "The launch of Ford Focus 4D is really just the next step in a global marketing effort for Ford's first truly global vehicle," said Graeme Whickman, marketing vice-president at Ford Canada. "Media consumption habits have changed. People no longer just watch TV or just read the newspaper. This execution looks at all aspects of our customer and reaches them where they increasingly spending more time: online, on their mobile devices or playing video games."
