Skechers retains Veritas Communications

Footwear company Skechers USA has appointed Veritas Communications of Toronto its public relations agency of record in Canada. Veritas will work to promote the company's various styles of shoes, particularly the Shape-up product line. "Skechers continues to make great strides in reaching consumers with innovative and fashionable footwear, and Canada is an important part of our global footprint," said John Hartshorn, managing director of Skechers USA Canada. "It was critical that we aligned with a Canadian PR agency that understood how to connect our brand with the consumer influencers who are responsible for driving credible word-of-mouth. Veritas offered a unique influencer marketing point-of-view that we felt would help us achieve our business goals."
