IBM Canada is driving Canadians onto the information highway. The computer maker launched its "Get Net Go! back-to-school promotion last week. Under the deal, purchasers of selected IBM Aptiva and Ambra Achiever computers will receive up to 180 days or 180 hours of access to the Internet. The registration fee and software needed to access the Internet are included with the computer and users can access IBM's 24-hour toll-free support line. Point-of-purchase materials are being used to promote the offer. They were created by Promotions Or Whatever, a subsidiary of J. Walter Thompson in Toronto.
