Dr. Oetker conducts Big Doughnation campaign

Frozen food company Dr. Oetker has begun a four-week campaign called “The Big Doughnation” to raise funds for Food Banks Canada. The company hopes to raise $150,000 from consumers purchasing its pizza and dessert products. Until Nov. 24, 50 cents from each sale of an eligible product will be donated to Food Banks Canada. In addition, consumers can participate in a draw for a $2,500 donation to a local food bank. One food bank will be selected each day for 20 days.

“Food insecurity is a pervasive problem that affects far too many individuals and families across this country,” said Indresh Kohli, executive head of marketing at Dr. Oetker. “As a local manufacturer, Dr. Oetker has a long history of supporting local communities across Canada. We are proud to help elevate the discussion about an important national issue and support the tremendous work of Food Banks Canada.”
