Doritos conducts video game promotion

PepsiCo Foods Canada has begun a video game promotion for its Doritos snack food brand. The promotion, which is in support of Doritos Tangy All Dressed flavoured tortilla chips, features a collection of apparel designed by skate fashion designer MRKNTN that will be worn by non-player characters in a custom map of the video game Fortnite. The map, called Doritos Drip City, will be available to players for two months. The promotion also includes a website at <http://www.doritosnpcs.ca> as well as social media content.
“Doritos has a legacy for bringing the unexpected from snacking experiences to how the brand shows up in culture,” said Lisa Allie, senior marketing director at PepsiCo Foods Canada. “To launch the Doritos twist on the Canadian classic of All Dressed, the brand is trying another angle on a merch drop to launch a first-of-its-kind drop exclusively within gaming that our fans didn’t see coming.”
