Fairmont Hotels conducts film history campaign

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has begun an experiential marketing campaign called "Fairmont Loves Film" to coincide with the Toronto International Film Festival. Developed by Fuse Marketing Group of Toronto, the initiative focuses on the "cinematic history" of the hotel through a series of events and a photography exhibit. The executions seek to recreate scenes from well-known films that were shot at Fairmont properties. The promotion will run in Toronto until the end of the festival on Sept. 16, then go on to London and Shanghai.

"Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has a long history and connection to the silver screen and countless Hollywood and international movies have been filmed at our iconic properties," said Mansi Vagt, executive director of marketing and brand programs at parent company AccorHotels. "From legendary films such as Hitchcock's Vertigo, shot at Fairmont San Francisco, to Molly's Game, shot at Fairmont Royal York, we have played a part in some of the most iconic films of all time.  The 'Fairmont Loves Film' exhibition showcases that rich history in a fun and playful way and we invite everyone to take a step behind the scenes with us and enjoy the show."
