Land Rover begins online video campaign

Jaguar Land Rover has begun a new marketing campaign timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the Land Rover brand. Developed by Spark44 of Vancouver, the campaign recounts an around-the-world trip taken by nature artist Robert Bateman and ecologist Bristol Foster in 1957. The pair spent 14 months travelling 60,000 km in a customized Land Rover Series 1. The campaign consists of a three-minute video combining contemporary footage of the pair in the restored vehicle with archival footage from the trip. The video is running on YouTube and other social media sites.

"We wanted to share this remarkable adventure to inspire the next generation of Canadian explorers," said John Bastawrous, a social media strategist at Spark44. "Their entire journey, and the spirit they embodied throughout, epitomizes what Land Rover stands for."
