Website roundup

Montreal-based digital marketing agency Mediative has redesigned its website at <http://www.mediative.com>. The new site is part of an overall rebranding effort undertaken by the firm intended to emphasize its services and visual identity. Updates include additional functionality, better navigation, a blog and a new mobile version. "We launched Mediative two years ago to enhance the digital marketing campaigns of clients and advertisers and we are particularly excited to present a simpler, more direct value proposition for Mediative's service offerings," said company president Patrick Lauzon. "As a digital marketing company, we realize every channel our clients contact us through must be optimized, clear and informative."

Toronto-based hotel company Fairmont Hotels & Resorts has begun a redesign of its digital properties. The work will include new versions of Fairmont.com and EveryonesAnOriginal.com, as well as new tablet and mobile sites and multi-lingual sub-sites. The updated Fairmont.com site features a new visual style with better navigation, more photographs, videos, interactive maps and social media integration. Additional property upgrades will roll-out over the next six months. "For consumers, the Internet now serves as the most essential tool to research, book and share their travel experiences, so we want to be the easiest hotel brand to do business with online," said Brian Richardson, the company's vice-president of brand marketing and communications. "While our customers have always been comfortable engaging with us on the web, they're increasingly spending more time on our digital sites and telling us that convenience and content are of the utmost importance in the online space. Also, by adding in our social media feeds, we're able to get additional content into guests' hands and can provide them with a better perspective of the personalities and unique characteristics that define each and everyone one of our properties."
