Boston Pizza readies Canuck for a Day promotion

Restaurant chain Boston Pizza will conduct a promotional activity on Jan. 20 in association with the Vancouver Canucks hockey team. On that day, 34 young consumers will receive purported one-day contracts with the team. The initiative is intended to provide participants with the experience of signing-on with an NHL team. They will receive time on the ice with former Canucks players and access to the team dressing room. A similar event was held in Calgary with the Flames on Jan. 14 and another will take place in Edmonton with the Oilers on Feb. 18.
"We're always looking for exciting ways to give back to the community, so we're proud to be partnering with the Vancouver Canucks for the second year in a row to help inspire thirty-four up-and-coming Vancouver all-stars with the chance to join the Canucks organization," said Jenna Bull, marketing manager for sports programs and sponsorship at Boston Pizza.
