Budweiser begins Gretzky campaign

Beer brand Budweiser Canada has released a new television commercial timed to coincide with the 2018 Super Bowl NFL championship game. The 30-second ad, called "Bring it Home," features hockey player Wayne Gretzky. The commercial promotes limited-edition Budweiser-branded goal lights and goal-synced beer glasses marked with Gretzky's jersey number of 99. Both can be connected to a mobile application that will cause them to light up when a goal is scored by a selected hockey team. The products can be purchased online at <http://www.budweiser.ca>.
"The success of the Budweiser Red Light inspired us to make something special this year for the fans, and what better way to bring that to life than with The Great One himself," said Todd Allen, vice-president of marketing at Labatt Breweries of Canada. "Over the years, we've celebrated goals from coast to coast, and we're excited to now put these gold lights and glasses in the hands of Canadian fans and let it shine."
