Canadian Tire begins hockey card promotion

Canadian Tire has formed an agreement with trading card company Upper Deck of Carlsbad, CA to produce a limited edition set of Team Canada collectible hockey cards. The cards will be sold in packages of five until Dec. 28 at Canadian Tire locations nationally. The complete set consists of 160 cards depicting Canadian hockey players from several generations. The cards are exclusively licensed by the National Hockey League Players' Association.

"It's an honour to be able to work with such an iconic retailer like Canadian Tire," said Jason Masherah, president of Upper Deck. "We took great pride in putting together this Team Canada product and we hope fans enjoy collecting the set as much as we enjoyed putting it together."
