Netflix conducts mural campaign in Toronto

Netflix has begun an out-of-home promotion in Toronto for its musical drama series The Get Down. Developed MEC in association with Cieslok Media of Toronto, the campaign makes use of street murals in the style of 1970s New York graffiti. The three murals, located in three downtown neighbourhoods, were painted by local artists.

"Hand paint murals are a unique form of OOH where the process of creating the ad is part of the experience the audience gets to enjoy," said Jörg Cieslok, president and CEO of Cieslok Media. "Netflix's unique creative for The Get Down captures that 1970s graffiti style and places it on the perfect medium, fitting in well with the environment."
