Baskin-Robbins begins Stranger Things promotion

Ice cream chain Baskin-Robbins Canada has begun a promotion in association with streaming video service Netflix to promote the new season of the drama Stranger Things. To coincide with the start of the new season on July 4, Baskin-Robbins will introduce a number of Stranger Things-inspired ice cream products and collectibles. The chain will feature two new ice cream flavours during the promotion: Eleven’s Heaven and Upside Down Pralines. Other new products will include an Upside Down Sundae, a Demogorgon Sundae, a Byers’ House Lights Polar Pizza Ice Cream Treat, and a drink called the Elevenade Freeze. Consumers will also be able to purchase a figurine of show character Steve Harrington holding a sundae, as well as other merchandise. The promotion also includes social media activities.

“We wanted to give fans a taste of the new season of Stranger Things and are thrilled to partner with Netflix to give customers an experience straight out of Hawkins, Indiana,” said Carol Austin, vice-president of marketing at Baskin-Robbins. “Our activities in June are just the beginning. Expect this partnership to come to life in even more ways next month.”
