Destination Canada begins agency review

Vancouver-based tourism organization Destination Canada has begun an agency-of-record review. The mandatory review has begun with a request for proposals. The account has been held for the past 13 years by DDB Canada, which has declined to participate in the review. In a statement, the agency said, "While we have delivered unprecedented results for our long-standing client, as Destination Canada pursues a new direction, we believe it is time for a new agency to pick up and carry the torch that we have lit." DDB will continue to service the account until its current contract expires in April 2017.
