Indigo debuts Like2Buy social media function

Toronto-based retail chain Indigo Books & Music has introduced a new social media initiative called "Like2Buy." Consumers who browse the chain's Instagram feed will now have the option of clicking a link in a post to go to a page about that brand from which purchases can be made. According to the company, Indigo is one of the first Canadian brands to make use of this Instagram feature.

"Instagram has always been a wonderful platform for Indigo to inspire our customers," said Kirsten Chapman, chief marketing officer at Indigo. "Like2Buy allows for enhanced interaction where customers see something they like and can easily shop for it straight from their social media feeds. We're always on the lookout for ways to be even more customer-centric. We want to make it as easy as possible to shop with us from wherever they are and however they like."
