Ontario Craft Brewers begins Real People campaign

Ontario Craft Brewers has begun a marketing campaign called "Real People Behind the Real Beer." The campaign is timed to coincide with the sixth annual Ontario Craft Beer Week, which runs from June 11 to 21. Developed by Fifth Story of Toronto, the campaign consists of branded print, radio and online content, including an online video. The content will be distributed nationally to radio broadcasters, newspapers, magazines, websites and blogs. It will be supported with social media activities.

"When a craft brewery goes into a town, it usually revitalizes an old building, hires local people and buys ingredients from local farmers," said Cameron Heaps, chair of Ontario Craft Brewers and co-founder of Steam Whistle Brewing. "People love craft beer because it tastes great and it's made the right way."

Ontario Craft Brewers is an association representing 50 brewers in the province.
