Ontario Craft Brewers begin Better Access campaign

Ontario Craft Brewers of Toronto has begun a communications campaign called "Great Beer. Better Access." It is timed to coincide with consultations on the subject of alcohol retailing currently being conducted by the Government of Ontario. The campaign encourages consumers to participate in these consultations on the side of expanded retail availability for locally-brewed beer. The two-month initiative includes a website at <http://www.craftbeerfreedom.ca>, accompanied by digital advertising, media relations and activities at local craft beer festivals.

"The simple truth about locally-made craft beer is that when people get to try it, they love it," said Scott Simmons, president of Ontario Craft Brewers. "We finally have an opportunity to build a retail system that makes it easier to find more locally-made craft beer on more local shelves. Today, we are launching this campaign to encourage all craft beer lovers to make it clear that more access to craft beer should be a key part of the new system."
