Balzer to depart Canadian Art

David Balzer will depart the positions of editor-in-chief and co-publisher of Canadian Art magazine at the end of March. He will begin an artist and teaching residency at Quest University in Squamish, BC. Balzer joined Canadian Art in 2010 as an assistant editor, becoming editor-in-chief in 2016. He will remain a contributing editor to the magazine. A search for a new editor is underway. Senior editor Bryne McLaughlin will act as interim editor-in-chief. Debra Rother, currently co-publisher of Canadian Art, will remain publisher of the magazine. Canadian Art is published by the Canadian Art Foundation.
