Coca-Cola readies FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy Tour

Coca-Cola Canada will begin a promotion in April called the "FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy Tour." The two-month national tour will begin in Ottawa in April and will consist of a series of 12 free events at which the trophy will be displayed. Additional events will take place in Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Moncton, Kingston, Toronto, Hamilton, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver.

Each event will include a number of interactive elements, such as the Coca-Cola Robot Goalie, a place to record a cheer for a favourite team, a recreation of a locker room, 16-player foosball games and freestyle soccer demonstrations. Consumers can also have their picture taken with the trophy.

"Coca-Cola is proud to be presenting the first-ever FIFA Women's World Cup Trophy Tour, bringing Canadians a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get to see this magnificent trophy up-close," said Michael Samoszewski, vice-president of the sparkling business unit at Coca-Cola. "We are excited to share in Canada's passion for soccer and unite Canadians from coast to coast at our Trophy Tour experience."

The 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup will take place in six Canadian cities in June and July.
