Corus Radio releases 38 mobile applications

Corus Entertainment of Toronto has released new mobile applications for 38 Corus Radio stations. The applications, developed by SoCast, provide users with an interactive playlist for each station, including artist information, videos, photographs and other content, as well as concert listings, music news and contests. The applications for stations with a news and talk format offer news updates, weather forecasts and interactive traffic maps. The applications can also be used to upload text, photographs and audio to social media sites. Each application also incorporates mobile video, audio and display advertising. The free software is available for Apple and Android devices.
"The launch of 38 customized station apps builds on Corus Radio's commitment to offer listeners the best-in-class mobile-first experience to engage and interact with our stations wherever they are," said Chris Duncombe, director of new media at Corus Radio. "Our robust branded radio apps give listeners direct access to exclusive content, the ability to interact with their favourite hosts and share unique content from multiple platforms."
