Advertising & Design Club of Canada holds Directions awards

The Advertising & Design Club of Canada distributed its 64th annual Directions awards in Toronto last week, recognizing exceptional work in advertising, graphic design, editorial and book design, and interactive media. The Scarlet Letter award for agency of the year went to Grey, while Monnet Design was named design firm of the year, DDB Canada the interactive agency of the year and OPC FamilyStyle the production company of the year.

Paul Lavoie of Taxi received the Les Usherwood Award for lifetime achievement. Ming Mikaeo OCAD University won the ADCC Student Competition.

Agencies receiving Gold awards included Grey, DDB, Dare Vancouver, Cundari, JWT Toronto, Leo Burnett Toronto, Y&R, Lowe Roche, Tribal DDB Toronto, Grip, Lg2boutique, MacLaren McCann Calgary, Monnet Design, Taxi Montreal, Calder Bateman Communications, John St., Red Lion, and  TBWA Toronto.
