Microsoft Canada conducts Get It Done Day promotion

Microsoft Canada of Toronto conducted a promotion called "Get It Done Day" yesterday in support of its Microsoft Office 365 productivity software package. The Canadian initiative was part of a global campaign intended to promote the software as a way to get work done while away from the office. During the day, the company encouraged its employees to use the various online services included with Office 365 to be productive without going in to work. The promotion included an art work by Justin Broadbent that was installed at the corner of Bay and Wellington Streets in Toronto. The work was constructed out of office desks, presumably now no longer needed. The effort also includes a social media element during which consumers are invited to share ideas about places they could work other than their offices.
"We really want to get the message out that people want more flexibility and more control over when and where they work, and there's no better place to start than right in our own backyard," said Gareth Oystryk, Office product manager at Microsoft Canada. "With integrated tools like Microsoft Office 365, which offers solutions that allow employees to be productive and connect with each other virtually anywhere, Canadian employers and employees can have the best of both worlds when it comes to productivity and work-life balance."
