Award show roundup

The Advertising & Design Club of Canada hosted its annual awards show last week to recognize exceptional work in advertising, graphic design and interactive media. Thirty-two gold awards were distributed. DDB Canada won the Michael O'Reilly Best Copywriting Award for a Philips Canada radio campaign. Ogivly & Mather won gold in the Advertising Innovative/Non-Traditional category for work done for Unilever Canada. This work also won a gold in the Broadcast Editing category.The gold Multiple Media award went to Lowe Roche for its Stella Artois campaign. Five golds were awarded in the Advertising Broadcast category: to BBDO Canada for Parmalat Canada; to Lowe Roche for Stella Artois; to Draft FCB for the World Wildlife Foundation; to DDB Canada for Philips Canada; and to TBWA for Skittles. Two Advertising Print golds were distributed: to Rethink for Playland and to Trigger Communications for the Calgary Zoo. In the Interactive Media category, gold awards were distributed to the Taxi offices in Montreal, Toronto and New York for work done for Rail Europe, Pirate Radio & Television and Amp'd Mobile, respectively. Lowe Roche received gold in this category for work done for Nokia Canada.
