LCBO readies Whisky Rocks concert

The Liquor Control Board of Ontario will host a concert by rock band Theory of a Deadman next month as part of its annual Whisky Rocks promotion. The concert will take place in London, ON on Nov. 7. Attendees will also be able to sample five Canadian whiskies: Black Velvet Toasted Caramel Whisky, Canadian Club Classic, Crown Royal Maple, Forty Creek Copper Pot and Wiser's Spiced Vanilla Canadian Whisky.
The concert will also feature opening performances by the top three finalists in a band competition called the "Whisky Rocks Showdown." Bands can enter by submitting a music demo online at <http://www.whiskyrocks.com> before Oct. 11. Public voting will determine the three finalists, who will compete before a judging panel at the concert for the grand prize of a $5,000 gift card from music equipment retailer Long & McQuade.
