New CEO, chairman at Mood Media

Toronto-based Mood Media has appointed Steve Richards to the position of president and chief executive officer. He will also join the company's board of directors. Richards was most recently president of Mood Media and CEO of its Muzak subsidiary. Prior to that, he was the CEO of PRC and president of Transworld Systems. He has also been chief operating officer, chief marketing officer and executive vice-president of operations at RMH Teleservices. Philippe von Stauffenberg, previously non-executive vice-chairman of the board, has been appointed chairman of Mood Media. He is the founder of investment company Solidus. Outgoing chairman and CEO Lorne Abony will remain a director of the board. Mood Media specializes in the design of in-store consumer experiences, including audio, visual, interactive, scent, voice and advertising elements.
