New managing partner at Dare

Dare of Vancouver has appointed Derek Shorkey to the position of senior vice-president and managing partner. He was most recently CEO of Grey South Africa. Prior to that, he was CEO of Publicis Russia and a managing consultant at Lowe Worldwide of London. Shorkey was also the founder and president of The Pineapple Group, a Vancouver-based agency that was acquired in 2007 by McLaren McCann, where Shorkey became a managing director. He has also worked at Cossette, Ogilvy & Mather and Coca-Cola.
