Astral releases mobile application for media planners

Astral Media of Montreal has released a new business-to-business mobile application. The application, which is available for Apple and Android devices, aggregates news and content from Astral's business units. It is intended to allow users to keep informed of the company's business-to-business initiatives. The program includes case studies, a calendar of events and information on Astral's various properties. According to the company, this is the first application of its kind in the Canadian media industry. Astral is promoting the program with a contest for media planners and buyers. Until May 10, downloaders of the application will be entered into a draw for a trip to the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity. "This new tool not only leverages our multi-platform expertise but also showcases our combined strength and success as one company," said Derev Antikacioglu, director of branding and corporate marketing at Astral. "It is a celebration of the creativity and ingenuity that comes to life daily in our sales and marketing teams." The application was developed by Okam.
