Wendy's promotes new burger with online game

Wendy's Restaurants of Canada has begun an online promotion called "Bacon Mushroom Cheese The Game" in support of its new Bacon Portabella Mushroom Melt menu item. The rock-paper-scissors-style game can be played via Facebook or a mobile device. The grand prize winner will receive a year's worth of Wendy's hamburgers. Weekly prizes of Wendy's gift cards will also be distributed. The campaign, developed by MacLaren McCann, will run until Nov. 18. It includes a television commercial adapted from US creative, as well as two radio commercials, online ads and in-store materials.
