Dave Thomas Foundation conducts adoption campaign

The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption-Canada, a non-profit organization that works to promote the adoption of children in foster care, has begun a new campaign called “Up For Adoption.” The national campaign consists of television commercials, online video, digital ads, out-of-home ads and social media content, produced pro bono by McCann of Toronto. The creative features images of children with animals and is intended to resemble an animal adoption campaign. Only the campaign website at <http://www.upforadoption.ca> specifies that it is the children who require adoption. Media work is being conducted by Initiative. The website was developed by MRM McCann. The campaign will run until the end of the year. The foundation is an initiative of Wendy's Restaurants of Canada.

“While the foundation sees a growing number of children positively impacted by Wendy's Wonderful Kids, our work is far from done,” said Rita Soronen, president and CEO of the foundation. “Funds raised through the campaign will provide the foundation with critical financial support to continue expanding the Wendy's Wonderful Kids program across Canada, ensuring that there are recruiters to give the children and teens still waiting to be adopted from foster care the time, resources and support they deserve.”
