Rogers Publishing buys Canadian Health & Lifestyle

Toronto-based Rogers Publishing has acquired Canadian Health & Lifestyle magazine and the website Healthandlifestyle.ca from Merit Marketing of Etobicoke, ON. No financial details are available. The quarterly magazine covers health-related topics such as nutrition, fitness, self-improvement, and body care. It has a circulation of approximately 400,000 and is distributed primarily through Rexall pharmacies, hospitals and doctors' offices. "We see tremendous upside for this terrific magazine on multiple platforms and plan to invest in its continued success," said Lorraine Hoefler, executive publisher at Rogers Publishing. "We know health is a strong and growing category that Canadian readers care about and on which advertisers are focused."
