Travel Alberta has begun an online contest promotion tied to the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Calgary Stampede. To enter, consumers can submit a video of themselves yelling "Yahoo" via the organization's Facebook page. Public voting and a judging panel will select a winner, who will receive a trip for two to the stampede. The promotion, which was developed by Village&Co. of Vancouver, will run until April 20. "We've harnessed the enthusiasm and spirit of one of our strongest partners, the Calgary Stampede when creating this contest, and what better way to reach international audience than through Facebook?" said Nancy Smith, manager of social media at Travel Alberta.
