Village&Co tweets for Tourism Calgary

Village&Co. of Vancouver, BC , are providing crowd-sourced tips on how to stay warm in a Calgary winter for client Tourism Calgary, and partnering with the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. Using the Twitter account for Tourism Calgary and the hashtag #cpowarmup, Village&Co. collected dozens of winter warm-up tips submitted by Calgarians. The CPO Chorusmaster Timothy Shantz then set the tweets to the melody of "O Fortuna", and led the 120 person chorus through a dramatic sing-a-long. This has created a 2 minute and 55 second ode to social networking using 140 character Tweets. “As Tourism Calgary's Social Media Agency of Record we are in tune with the city’s social landscape", says Justin Young, Creative Director of Village&Co. Since its premiere on Tourism Calgary’s Inside Guide, the “Singing Tweets” video has been viewed over 18,500 times on YouTube.
