Website roundup

Toronto-based Scotiabank has constructed a new online anti-fraud website at <http://www.scotiabank.com/securitycentre>. The site features profiles of five types of online criminals described as the "Unusual Suspects," as well as an introductory video and a collection of relevant content and advice on the prevention of online fraud. "The best tool against fraud is awareness," said Stephen Gaskin, vice-president of self service customer experience at Scotiabank. "The changes we're making are aimed at helping consumers be even savvier about protecting their personal information when online so that they can recognize and prevent fraud. We've enhanced our security centre to help Canadians recognize and prevent some of the most common security challenges."
