Yellow Pages Group begins virtual scratch-off contest

Yellow Pages Group of Montreal has begun a promotional contest aimed at smartphone users. Users can enter the contest by mimicking the motion used with a scratch-off ticket on the screen of a phone. By doing so, entrants can instantly win $1,000 per day, each day for a month. By sharing the contest on Facebook, entrants also become eligible for the grand prize of a $5,000 travel package. The promotion was developed by Cossette. "Yellow Pages Group is undergoing a complete digital transformation, and as a result we are on the look-out for innovative projects," said Nicolas Gaudreau, vice-president of digital and print media, acquisition and retention at Yellow Pages Group. "So we had the idea for this contest, which fits in well with this approach of cutting new paths and pushing the limits of technology. In addition, this idea allows us to ally technology and the consumer experience with the brand,"
