Prentice joins BCE board

Jim Prentice has joined the boards of directors of Montreal-based BCE and Bell Canada. Prentice is the senior executive vice-president and vice-chairman of CIBC. He served as a member of the House of Commons from 2004 to 2010 and held positions including Minister of Industry, Minister of the Environment and chair of the operations committee of Cabinet. He also practiced commercial law before entering politics and was co-chair of the Indian Claims Commission of Canada from 1993 to 2000.
