National Advertising Benevolent Society hires Totem

Toronto-based Totem has been retained as digital agency of record by the National Advertising Benevolent Society. The society is a charitable organization that provides assistance to workers in the communications industry who are experiencing illness, injury, unemployment or financial difficulties. The assignment included the development of an integrated digital communications plan incorporating social media activities. The program includes a redesigned website at <http://www.nabs.org> and an electronic newsletter. The new site includes a calendar of events, links to social networking services, and a blog. "With times as tough as they are now, it's imperative that NABS reach out efficiently and effectively to people in need," said Cathy Whelan Molloy, chair of the organization's national marketing and communications committee. "We're very pleased to have Totem take us to the next level in communicating our message. And since we're 100% funded through donations from individuals, associations and corporations, we need to have a strong voice that registers with them as well. Even our events, critical to our fundraising and promotional awareness, are reliant on getting the word out. Totem's multi-platform digital plan will help us get significant momentum going."
