Labatt holds Facebook contest for Bud Light Lime

Labatt has begun an online initiative in support of its Bud Light Lime brand called the "Bud Light Lime Summer Music" promotion. The promotion, developed by Grip of Toronto, is being conducted on Facebook.com. Members of the beer's Facebook fan page can enter by selecting favourite songs from a user-generated list. Four thousand winners will receive free downloads of the 10 most popular songs from online music service Puretracks. "We wanted to do something to give back to fans who've made Bud Light Lime such a huge success in Canada," said David Nicholls, brand manager for the beer in Canada. "Bud Light Lime is a social brand. It's about being active and engaged, and we felt that a summer promotion tied to music was a perfect way to convey this."
