Vancouver Aquarium promotes Films You Can Feel
By Adnews Staff
The Vancouver Aquarium has begun an ad campaign called "Films You Can Feel" to promote a new attraction called the 4D Experience. The experience consists of a theatre that shows 3D films augmented by special effects such as wind, mist, smells and lighting. The campaign, developed by Taxi Vancouver, consists of transit posters, radio ads, a cinema commercial and a wall mural. The creative seeks to convey the immersiveness of the experience. "We needed to convey a multi-dimensional experience in traditional advertising media that would let visitors know this was something new and compelling that they couldn’t experience anywhere else," said Sarah Kirby Yung, vice-president of marketing and communications at the aquarium. "The campaign had to inform, create excitement, and still provide a thematic link to the Vancouver Aquarium’s brand and the aquatic world." The campaign will run until the beginning of September.
