Website roundup

Toronto-based Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium debuted new websites yesterday at CTVOlympics.ca and RDSolympiques.ca. The sites will provide 2,400 hours of live online video coverage of the 2010 Vancouver Olympic Games. During the games the sites will host up to 14 concurrent live video streams, including feeds from five television networks and the live host broadcast streams of every competition. The content will also include news stories from the Globe & Mail, information about athletes, user-generated content and games. "CTVOlympics.ca and RDSolympiques.ca are dedicated Olympic Games destinations which give both the core sports fan and casual observer a unique online experience that combines superlative high-quality video with captivating storytelling, entertaining and interactive elements, and informative news and analysis," said Alon Marcovici, vice-president of digital media and research for the consortium. The sites were designed by CTV and sports technology company Deltatre. Canada's Olympic Broadcast Media Consortium consists of CTV and Rogers Media.
