Sport BC hires DDB Canada

Sport BC has retained DDB Canada of Vancouver as its first advertising agency of record. DDB won the account in a competitive pitch process that began earlier this winter. Sport BC is a not-for-profit federation for organized amateur sport in British Columbia. DDB will work to raise awareness of the organization's brand and encourage participation in sport in that province. "We were impressed by the strategic-thinking and thoroughness of DDB's proposal and culturally they felt like the best fit to help drive the brand forward," says Rick Christiaanse, vice-president of marketing and business development at Sport BC. "Together, I’m confident we will build an emotive and enduring brand that furthers the Sport BC mission and engages with other corporate and community partners."
