Boost begins awareness campaign

Child abuse prevention organization Boost has begun a campaign of public service announcements. The two ads will run on a number of CTVglobemedia channels, including BNN, Bravo, CP24, CTV Newsnet, Discover, MuchMusic, The Comedy Network and TSN, until the end of March. The creative depicts children who at first appear to be in abusive situations, but who are then revealed to be talking with counselors. The ads were created by Yield of Toronto. "There's a threat in the first few seconds that you're watching something you really don't want to see," said creative director Chris Torbay. "When the reality of the scene is revealed, it leaves you feeling really positive about the difference Boost is making in kids' lives."
